Kick-Start Your Pipeline in 30 Days on LinkedIn

WRITTEN BY: CHRIS WRIGHT, CO-FOUNDER, THE LIME ONE

We’ve all been there. So focused on delivering the work, we haven’t had the time to keep building our pipeline.

A pipeline that needs to be filled with scrumptious, juicy leads. The kind of leads you get so excited about because you know they’ll be absolutely lovely to work with before you even start working together.

The kind of leads that are best found on LinkedIn.

Why a 30-day pipeline kickstart?

We’re all business owners here. And statistically, approximately a third of us have ADHD. That means we can get distracted. But it also means we have a superpower - the power to hyperfocus.

30-day challenges mean we can quickly learn what works and what doesn’t. We can be hyper-focused on the most important aspect of our business. And afterwards, we have a brilliant foundation we know we can turn on and off again.

This system is designed to be flexible. If you feel you have one section nailed already, awesome! Skip to the next section and you’ll have more time to spend on the meatier parts of LinkedIn lead generation.

Week 1: Turn your LinkedIn profile into a lead generation machine

Day 1-2: Do your LinkedIn headline, banner image, and summary clearly communicate what you do and who you help?

Day 3: Tell people what to do next. If you don’t tell them how to buy, they won’t. Add a clear CTA to your profile. It could be messaging you, booking a call, or visiting a landing page.

Day 4-5: Work on your Featured section. Include links so you can take your audience off LinkedIn.

Day 6-7: Start sending at least 10 connection requests per day to your ideal prospects. And make sure to keep a note of who you sent them to so you can follow up later. (P.S. The Lime One helps you keep track of LinkedIn leads, or you can juggle spreadsheets)

Week 2: Get visible

Day 8-9: Plan and batch write your LinkedIn sales posts. Here’s our formula - write down all of the problems you solve for customers (even if they’re tiny). Try to get to 100. Then, turn the problem into a How to. e.g. ‘Nobody’s reading my emails’ turns into ‘How to write emails everyone will read’. Then add a CTA at the bottom.

P.S. If you don’t already have some personal posts and educational posts, schedule some of these too.

Day 10-12: Start publishing your content and responding to comments on your posts.

Day 13-14: Comment on 10-25 other LinkedIn posts daily around the time you post your content. Aim for a mix of your target clients, people you like, and industry influencers.

P.S. The Lime One helps you comment on LinkedIn in a strategic way, instead of spending hours scrolling the home feed.

Week 3: Reach out intentionally

Day 15: Segment your current connections into prospects, collaborators and industry influencers.

Day 16-18: Remember those 10 connection requests to ideal prospects? Go back through your list and start messaging anyone who’s connected. Remember to make the messages personal. Don’t sell at first, just ask questions around the problems you solve. If you have a free lead magnet, send it now.

Day 19-21: Follow-up on your previous messages and treat LinkedIn like what it is - a networking platform. Chat to everyone you connect to.

Week 4: Convert and refine

Day 22-25: Continue to connect to 10 ideal clients per day, message those who connected, and comment on other posts.

Day 26-28: Schedule calls or meetings with the leads who engage positively.

Day 29: Reflect and analyse your results. Track responses, meetings booked, and engagement. What resonated best with people? Do you need to create a better lead magnet? A webinar? Or something else to move towards a sale?

Day 30: Hone your offer, and continue to connect with 10 ideal clients per day, send intro messages, and comment on others’ posts.

Happy LinkedIn-ing! And if you fancy giving Lime a try, book in a demo here or sign up here.
